Welcome to the Bearded Naked Boat Cruise 2024; an amazing men's naked yoga experience cruising the Aegean Sea and the stunning coastline of Turkey aboard the incredible 100 foot-plus yacht, the Captain Jack.

The captain and crew of the Captain Jack are famed for their friendly hospitality and can-do attitude… nothing is too much onboard and you will be safe in their hands… delicious Turkish and Mediterranean-inspired food served three times a day, with some culinary surprises that will delight your taste buds.

As well as twice-daily practices of yoga and meditation, guests are invited to participate in morning and evening sessions of Yoga Conditioning Training, a dynamic and fun style of high-intensity training designed to support and improve your strength, coordination and overall well-being.

All men are welcome on The Bearded Naked Yogi retreats, regardless of age, experience, sexuality or gender identity - our retreats are 100% inclusive.

It’s no problem if you haven’t done yoga or meditation before, or if you’re an experienced yogi who knows their way around a yoga mat - everyone is welcome at this is one-of-a-kind yoga and relaxation experience that is simply not to be missed.

Why Is This Event Naked?

Clothes-free living and the practice of naked yoga is about deepening our understanding of ourselves, the world around us, and our place in that world - without the physical shield of clothes it's much easier to connect with that sense of self as we can more easily put aside the mental shield we all have in our daily lives. We're all on the same level, so no judgement can be made about who we are by the outward signs we choose to cover ourselves with.

Meditating and practising yoga whilst naked as a member of a group of other naked men is a life-affirming and deeply liberating experience.

The Location:

Our onboard experience together takes place in the Hisarönü Gulf. Lying between Bozan Burnu on the north and Atabol Burnu on the south, this tranquil and calm area of the Aegean Sea has many interlaced coves which provide excellent places to anchor in attractive settings.

Pine trees come right down to the shores and the shoreline is embellished by date palms. Hisarönü Bay is one of the prettiest bays in the Aegean Sea. Nature has been generous here - blue and green mingle as two gorgeous birds in one nest.

Our cruise begins and ends in the beautiful small harbour town of Selimiye, just 45 minutes from the bustling city of Marmaris.

One of the rising stars in terms of its location, natural beauty and tranquillity of setting, Selimiye is an unspoilt village that punches well above its weight - restaurants, bars and incredible coffee shops alongside boutique stores selling traditional local crafts means anything you need before or after your trip, you can find it in Selimiye.

Used as a base for many of the coastal ships and fishing trade in the area, Selimiye is full of charm and has something for everyone…

This is your opportunity to do something incredible for yourself and create memories that will last a lifetime - a truly unique experience of perfect sunshine, spectacular scenery, thoughtful yoga and the chance to connect with yourself in a way like no other.

Accommodation:

The Captain Jack is a Turkish gulet; she isn’t a particularly fast sailing ship, but she is a very stable vessel which offers a comfortable voyage under nearly every circumstance. Boasting a length of more than 100 feet, there’s more than enough room aboard the Captain Jack to find your own private spot.

On the front deck, there’s a large dining table, a bench and comfortable beanbags. At the back, you’ll find a large table as well as cosy mattresses where you can relax and enjoy some shade when necessary. The sun deck is also equipped with cosy mattresses and can hold at least twelve people. There’s also the possibility of spending your night on the sundeck, sleeping under the stars.

The ship is equipped with a swim ladder for easy access after taking a dip. The salt water can easily be washed off with the hand shower on deck.

Inside, we’ll have all the comfort you could need - the ship has a spacious main cabin with a large table and benches. 

Drinks are served at the bar (that is if the crew hasn’t already provided you with one!), and all meals are served al fresco and close to the onboard bar.

The individual cabins have a double bed with fantastic mattresses, plenty of closet space and provide you with a great night’s sleep onboard. The portholes offer amazing views of the clear blue water and the delightful smell of briny ocean air. Each cabin has its own bathroom with a hand basin, hot water shower and toilet.

Each guest will also get their own cushions, sheets and towels.

Food:

The Amazing Ali, our exclusive onboard chef, will look after your every culinary need. In his small galley, he prepares the most delicious Turkish & Mediterranean dishes daily, using the very best in fresh produce sourced locally.

All dietary requirements are catered for - meat and fish will be served onboard as well as numerous options for vegetarians, vegans and other diets.

Just ask and Ali can make it.

Please Note: whilst all meals are included in the price of this awesome experience, one night during the trip all guests will eat onshore at a restaurant of their choice and at their own cost.

What To Wear/Bring:

Whilst this onboard event is based around naked yoga and social nudity, there will be times when clothing is required, particularly when onshore, in the village of Selimiye and travelling to and from the boat itself.

You're welcome to be naked as much or as little as you wish onboard the boat itself, though it's compulsory for the yoga and meditation sessions.

Please Note: the crew of the Captain Jack will not be naked during our time onboard.

We also kindly ask that all guests respect local customs and norms - we respectfully ask that a minimum of swimwear or a sarong is worn when in close view of other vessels or the harbour itself.

Yoga mats and blocks are provided, but no other accessories.

The Gulf of Hisaronu in October can have a high UV index - a high factor sunscreen is a must and, if you prefer to travel light, can be readily purchased in the port of Selimiye.

We also strongly recommend you bring a hat for added protection.

Morning and evening breezes keep things cool, with the yearly average temperatures for October hovering around 26-28c, though it can be as high as 35c.

How many students will there be?

The retreat is limited to a maximum of 14 yogis.

Getting There:

The closest international airports are Dalaman (Turkey) and Rhodes (Greece), both of which are accessible by flights from all the major European cities.

From Rhodes, you would need to take a ferry from Rhodes Port (Greece) to Marmaris (Turkey), which has a journey time of approximately 60-90 minutes.

From Dalaman International Airport or Marmaris Port, we can organise a transfer for you to Selimiye on the day of your arrival and departure.

The costs per transfer are as follows:

- Between Dalaman International Airport and Selimiye (One Way) £130

- Between Marmaris Port and Selimiye (One Way) £70

The costs are for the transfer only regardless of the number of people; because of this, we strongly recommend that you travel together as far as possible from and to your chosen arrival and departure point to share costs.

Pricing:

At The Bearded Naked Yogi, we work hard to provide you with the very best yoga experience at the best prices.

The pricing structure for this cruise is based on the level of accommodation you choose and whether or not you would like to share a cabin.

For the standard two-person cabins on a shared basis, we offer an Early-Bird booking price of £1,300 per person - the standard price for these places is £1,600 per person.

To have a standard cabin for yourself on a single supplement basis, the Early-Bird booking price is £2,400 - the standard single supplement price for these cabins is £3,100.

For one of the State cabins on a shared basis, the Early-Bird booking price is £1,600 per person - the standard price for these places is £1,900.

To have a State cabin for yourself on a single supplement basis, the Early-Bird booking price is £3,200 - the standard single supplement price for these cabins are £3,800

The Early-Bird booking price is available to all confirmed bookings made before December 31st 2023. In order to secure your Early-Bird price, a 20% non-refundable* deposit is required within 14 days of you making your RSVP.

For this trip to go ahead, we require a minimum of 10 confirmed bookings with a cut-off date for final confirmation of the 31st July 2024.

Once the minimum number of bookings or the date of the 31st July 2024 has been reached (whichever is first), all confirmed guests who have paid a deposit will be contacted to transfer their final balance for this incredible adventure.

For any bookings made after the 31st July 2024, the full balance will be required in order to secure your space.

When the retreat is confirmed, any outstanding balances will be required to be cleared by no later than the 12th August 2024.
