About the event

Men's Clothes-Free Meditation - Spiritual Anatomy & Philosophy (Online)

Join me this Winter for the Men's Clothes-Free Meditation - Spiritual Anatomy & Philosophy Course starting on Tuesday the 9th January 2024 at 18:30 Western European Time/UK Time.

The spiritual anatomy of yoga is a vast subject; over the four weeks of this course, we will be examine the key points of this important aspect of the yogic sciences, sharing with you the ancient teachings as imparted to and interpreted by me.

This exciting and informative course will offer you the opportunity to experience and understand the light that we all carry within us; the light from which we originated and which we shine into the world.

Who Is This Course For?

This 4-week online course, taking place on consecutive Tuesdays, is ideal for men who are interested in learning about the spiritual anatomy of yoga and philosophy and how it is applied to the art of meditation, and is ideal for those who wish to establish their own meditation practice within a safe, welcoming and inclusive clothes-free environment.

It’s no problem if you haven’t practiced meditation before, or if you’re an experienced practitioner - the practice of meditation is available to everyone and all are welcome.

The course will take place over Zoom, so there's no need to travel away from home and you can enjoy all of the benefits that come from being within your own personal space.

Why Clothes-Free?

The art of meditation is one of deepening our understanding of ourselves, the world around us, and our place in that world.  Without the physical shield of clothes it's much easier to connect with that sense of self as we can more easily put aside the mental shield we all have in our daily lives. We're all on the same level, so no judgement can be made about who we are by the outward signs we choose to cover ourselves with.

Meditating whilst naked as a member of a group of other naked men is a life-affirming and deeply liberating experience.

About Me

Alongside being a teacher of the physical aspects of Hatha Yoga, I am also a fully qualified and dedicated teacher and practitioner of Atma Kriya meditation.

I completed my training as a meditation teacher with the Yogi Ashokanada School in 2017 and since then meditation has been part of my daily life. Continual professional development has seen me delve deeply into the ancient art of meditation, not just from within the yogic tradition but also the tradition of the Zen Buddhists and the traditions of Western Mysticism.

For me, meditation is life itself - a pure, uncomplicated, non-judgemental practice of simply being with ourselves in kindness and compassion.

There is a famous quote widely attributed to the Buddha (He never said it, but the sentiment sums up why I meditate perfectly!)

"One day, the Buddha was asked: “What have you gained from meditation?”

He replied: “Nothing.”

“However”, Buddha said, “let me tell you what I lost : anger, anxiety, depression, insecurity, fear of old age and death."

What Will I Need For This Course?

For this course, you need yourself and willingness to be open to what is taught and shared.

A comfortable seating position is a must and this means something different for everyone. If you are not accustomed to sitting in a cross-legged posture for long periods, then you may wish to purchase yourself a yoga block or meditation cushion on which to sit to alleviate pressure from your hips

For those whom sitting cross-legged just isn't possible, then a comfortable chair with a straight back and no arms is perfect - just so long as your feet can touch the floor!

Should your home environment be cold, a blanket will be useful to have draped over your shoulders and to regulate your body temperature.

You may also wish to have a journal in which to write your thoughts, impressions and experiences as we move through this course together.

Pricing

This course is being offered at the amazing price of just €169 payable in one instalment.

There is a strict limit of just 10 places available.
